Samsung is reportedly working on a new feature for Galaxy Watch users that will allow them to unlock their phones with their smartwatches. The feature, called "Watch Unlock," is still in development, but it is expected to be released in a future update to the Galaxy Wearable app.

To use Watch Unlock, users will need to have a Galaxy Watch that is running Wear OS 3.5 or later and a compatible Android phone that is running Android 13 or later. Once the feature is enabled, users will be able to unlock their phones by simply tapping on the notification or swiping up on the lock screen.

The Watch Unlock feature is similar to the "Smart Lock" feature that is available on many Android phones. However, Smart Lock requires users to set up trusted places or devices, such as their home or car, before it can be used. Watch Unlock, on the other hand, will be able to unlock the phone as long as the Galaxy Watch is nearby.

This could be a convenient way to unlock your phone when your hands are full or dirty. It could also be useful if your phone's fingerprint sensor or face unlock is not working properly.

However, it is important to note that Watch Unlock is not a foolproof security measure. If someone else has access to your Galaxy Watch, they could also use it to unlock your phone. Therefore, it is still important to use a strong password or PIN for your phone.
