At Google I/O WhatsApp was officially announced for Wear OS platform while still there's no app for Apple WatchOS which is also kinda popular Watch operating system specially in the US. The reason behind this move from Meta was unclear but according to some sources due to Apple’s strict policies over WatchOS Meta preferred to release its Wear OS app first. We might see an Apple Watch OS app later this year after WWDC. But as of now there is no confirmation from Meta that there will be a WhatsApp app for Apple Watch.

Also recently Mark Zuckerberg the CEO of Meta announced via his Facebook account regarding the upcoming WhatsApp app for Wear OS platform. He said you can reply to conversations, start new ones and even take calls on your wrist. This app will be officially available with Wear OS 4 update later this year, but you can still participate in BETA program and install WhatsApp on your Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and above. Here’s the link to step by step guide on how to install WhatsApp BETA on your Galaxy Watch.
