After months of waiting, the official WhatsApp app for Wear OS is finally available. This means that you can now use WhatsApp on your smartwatch, without having to rely on your phone.

The app is compatible with all Wear OS 3 smartwatches, including the Google Pixel Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, and Fossil Gen 6. It allows you to send and receive text messages, voice messages, and emojis. You can also start new conversations, view your chat history, and mute chats.

If you have an LTE-enabled smartwatch, you can even make and receive calls without your phone. This is a major improvement over the previous workaround, which required you to use Google Assistant to send and receive messages.

The WhatsApp app for Wear OS is still in its early stages, but it's a great start. I'm hoping that future updates will add more features, such as the ability to view videos and photos.
