Galaxy Watch will get a new Google Assistant Tile
Google is working on a new Google Assistant Tile for Wear OS smartwatches, according to a recent teardown of the Google Assistant app by 9to5Google. The Tile would be a small, rectangular widget that would live on the home screen of Wear OS watches, providing quick access to a variety of Google Assistant commands.
The Tile would show a list of suggested Assistant queries, such as "Set an alarm," "Start a workout," and "Get the weather." Users would also be able to add their own favorite commands to the Tile. To use the Tile, users would simply tap on the command they want to execute.
The new Google Assistant Tile is still in development, and it is not yet clear when it will be released to the public. However, it is a welcome addition to Wear OS, as it will make it easier for users to access their favorite Assistant commands without having to open the full Assistant app.
In addition to the new Tile, Google is also working on other improvements for Google Assistant on Wear OS. These include new quick phrases that allow users to get help without having to say "Hey Google," and the ability to dismiss incoming calls by saying "Silence."
These updates are part of Google's ongoing efforts to make Google Assistant more useful and accessible on Wear OS. As more and more people use their smartwatches to stay connected and get things done, these updates will make it easier for them to get the most out of Google Assistant.
