Samsung just got clearance from FDA to send Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications (IHRN) it means you won't have to check actively using the ECG app for irregular heart rhythms. Samsung will utilize the BioActive sensor that was introduced on Galaxy Watch 4 and later models to send Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications. Previously users had to use Samsung Health Monitor (SHM) app to check for IHRN. These irregular heart rhythms could be a potential sign of Atrial Fibrillation. This IHRN feature also comes out of the box with Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic. If you don't have enabled this feature yet on your watch then you can check out the following video that explains in a step by step process on how to enable it.
